Opened in 1970 with one rink, the Bloomington Ice Garden has grown to three rinks with a seating capacity of 2,500. Besides being one of the busiest ice hockey facilities in the U.S. and home to both the Bloomington Jefferson and Bloomington Kennedy programs, BIG rinks are also open for public skating, figure skating, and adult open hockey. Skating lessons for both children and adults are given by professionally trained instructors.
